PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graph, CGANT, University of Jember successfully held a national seminar webinar with the theme "Development of RBL-STEM Learning Media Based on Artificial Intelligence in Fostering Students' Environmental Literacy". This event took place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, and was attended by hundreds of participants from various backgrounds, including academics, education practitioners, and students. The webinar featured four distinguished speakers, each with specific expertise in the use of AI technology in education.
Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., presented a material on "The Use of AI in Learning Media". In his presentation, Prof. Dafik explained how AI can be used to create more interactive and personalized learning media. He also outlined the potential of AI to enhance learning efficiency and student engagement. Dr. Ika Hesti Agustin, S.Si., M.Si., delivered a presentation on "Creating Learning Videos Assisted by ChatGPT". She demonstrated how to utilize ChatGPT technology to produce engaging and easy-to-understand learning video content for students. Dr. Ika also discussed various techniques to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning videos.
In her presentation session, Dr. Arika Indah Kristiana, S.Si., M.Pd., discussed "Creating Slides for Classroom Learning Media Assisted by ChatGPT". She provided tips and tricks for designing attractive and educational presentation slides with the help of ChatGPT, thereby enhancing students' understanding of the material presented. Rifki Ilham Baihaki, S.Si., M.Mat., reviewed "Creating Websites Assisted by ChatGPT". He explained how to utilize ChatGPT to develop informative and user-friendly educational websites. Rifki also provided practical examples of how these websites can be applied in the context of RBL-STEM learning.
The event received very positive feedback from the participants. They appreciated the efforts of PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graph, CGANT, University of Jember in developing AI-based learning media that can help foster environmental literacy among students. This webinar is expected to be the initial step in implementing AI technology in Indonesian education, as well as encouraging innovation in teaching methods to produce a smarter and more environmentally conscious generation.
