Research and teaching that are constantly developing at this time, continue to encourage people to think innovatively. Benchmarking work visits are a solution to achieve this mindset. On 4 July 2023 PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graph, University of Jember received a visit from the Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) with an agenda for a benchmarking visit. This activity took place on the 4th floor of the Center for Development of Advanced Science and Technology (CDAST) building, University of Jember. This benchmarking working visit is a new activity carried out by UNJ to study the management of research groups and the implementation of collaborative research at the University of Jember. This visit was not intended to compare who was the best, but as a discussion forum to share knowledge and experience. This benchmarking working visit involved 20 lecturers from the Faculty of Teaching and Education, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Computer Science. Also present at this event Prof. Drs. Slamin, M.Comp. Sc., Ph.D. as Deputy Chancellor 1 of the University of Jember. In his remarks Prof. Slamin stated that he was very happy because this working visit could be an opportunity to build a professional network between the two universities. With this visit Prof. Slamin also hopes that UNJ can explore innovations, journal publication strategies, and teaching methods that should be implemented. The event then continued with sharing discussions and group photos.
