PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graph held a workshop with the theme "Development of Research-Based Learning-STEM About Student Literacy Capabilities Related to Climate Change Based on Machine Learning". This activity was held on Wednesday, March 15 2023 and was attended by several school teachers from Jember, Situbondo and Surabaya. Some of the presenters who filled in this workshop included Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., Zainur Rasyid Ridlo, S.Pd., M.Pd., Dr. Ika Hesti Agustin, S.Si., M.Si., and Rifki Ilham Baihaki, S.Si., M.Mat. There were also special guests who attended from UPBJJ-UT Surabaya, she was Prof. Tri Dyah Prastiti. The event was opened by remarks from Prof. Dafik, he said that this workshop is important because it can raise awareness of the importance of climate change for students. Besides that Prof. Dafik also added that students' climate change literacy skills can be assisted with machine learning. This technology has become a trend among researchers, companies, and even schools. The next speech was delivered by Prof. Tri Dyah, she was pleased to be invited to this event. Prof. Tri Dyah also hopes that a workshop like this can also be held at UPBJJ-UT Surabaya. The event was then continued with presentation of material by several speakers. Then the event ended with the announcement of the best STEM ideas and a group photo.
