PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graph, University of Jember recently hosted an insightful training session aimed at improving the indexing of the CGANT Journal of Mathematics and Applications (6/6). The speaker, Jauhari, M.Si. from Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim. Jauhari is the man behind the Cauchy Jurnal Matematika Murni dan Aplikasi. On this occasion, Jauhari shared his experience in managing articles in Cauchy. Jauhari said that many aspects of the CGANT journal need to be improved. This improvement process takes time, but if it is done regularly, it can improve the indexing of the journal. Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. as the head of PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graph said in his speech that journal indexing is important among researchers. The high value of journal indexing can be a measure of the quality of journals that are managed and published.
The training session covered a comprehensive range of topics, including the latest indexing standards, best practices for editorial management, and effective strategies for improving citation metrics. Participants were introduced to advanced tools and techniques for optimizing article submissions, enhancing the peer-review process, and ensuring compliance with international indexing databases. The session also included interactive workshops where participants engaged in practical exercises to apply the concepts learned. These hands-on activities were designed to equip editorial staff and researchers with the skills needed to implement indexing improvements effectively.
