In this era of globalization, cooperation between universities is a must. One very important form of cooperation is collaboration in the field of research. By supporting each other and sharing knowledge, universities can achieve greater achievements and provide greater benefits to society. This mentoring event was held on Monday, August 14, 2023. The event was opened with remarks by Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Chair of PUI-PT Combinatorics and Graphs. Prof. Dafik said that with this event, the University of Jember and Abdurahman Saleh University Situbondo have started steps towards cooperation in the development of research in the field of combinatorics and graph studies. The field of combinatorics and graph studies is a branch of mathematics that studies various discrete structures, such as sets, permutations, and graphs.

Research in this area has broad applications in a variety of disciplines, including computer science, social science, and even biology. The University of Jember and Abdurahman Saleh University Situbondo have realized the great potential in the development of research in this area and have decided to work together to increase understanding and contributions in this area. At this event, 4 lecturers from the Abdurahman Saleh University Mathematics Study Program and 6 students attended. Risan Nur Santi, S.Si., M.Si. as the Head of the Mathematics Study Program at Abdurahman Saleh University hopes that this event will not only strengthen the relationship between the two universities but also provide students with a topic for their final project.
