In order to strengthen the Center of Excellence (PUI) and Research Collaboration Center (PKR) at the University of Jember, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) invited PUI-PT Combinatorica and Graph to take part in journal management training through a collaborative scheme. Three PUI-PT Combinatorica and Graph members were assigned as delegates to attend this event, namely Zainur Rasyid Ridlo, S.Pd., M.Pd., Elsa Yuli Kurniawati, S.Pd., M.Sc., and Rifki Ilham Baihaki, S.Sc., M.Mat. The event was opened with remarks by Prof. Drs. Bambang Kuswandi, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Deputy Chancellor 3 of the University of Jember. Prof. Bambang said that the benchmark for progress or not an educational institution lies in active research conducted by its lecturers and published in journals. Then how do you manage a good and correct journal? The answers can be found in this training.

Several experts who were invited as speakers at this training included Dr. Herry Yogaswara from the National Research and Innovation Agency. Besides that, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddiq Armia and Dr. Erna Dyah Kusumawati. He shared his experience as a bestari partner of Jember University Journal. He also explained the potential of conducting research collaborations between universities. PUI-PT Combinatorica and Graph also had the opportunity to share their experiences in managing journals in this training. Zainur said that to manage journals in our PUI-PT there is CGANT JMA (Journal of Mathematics and Applications). CGANT JMA itself is a peer-reviewed national electronic journal which is published twice a year, namely in June and December. CGANT JMA has published 3 volumes, starting from 2020 to 2022. Zainur also added that the presence of CGANT JMA can strengthen scientific research and publications conducted by our PUI-PT.
